Amplifying Queer Voices: Bringing Diverse Perspectives to Sales Leadership

Amplifying Queer Voices: Bringing Diverse Perspectives to Sales Leadership

Every June, the world sings in harmony to celebrate Pride Month. While celebrating pride, love, and all the efforts to fight for LGBTQIA2+ rights and recognition is very important, it is still fundamental to address that the community still has a long way to go.

That is why MSP is sitting down with an amazing cohort of speakers to be proud and loud in discussing the past, the present, and the future of the LGBTQIA2+ community in sales.

Join us on Friday, June 17th at 12 pm Pacific to celebrate the stories of fantastic sales leaders who’ve changed the game while being “Out at Work.” This event is a safe space for all. If you do not identify as queer, join us to learn diverse perspectives in sales and how to be an ally. If you are queer and proud, join us to celebrate you and your success.

Discussion topics

  • The Beauty - How diversity in sales is a win for us all

  • The Painpoints - How the sales world can improve by integrating diverse perspectives

  • The Golden Rules - How to create a brave space for your teams to thrive/how to be an accomplice and not just an ally for your teams

Key Takeaways

  • Sales Leaders are (or should be) culture leaders.

  • Understanding how cultures operate allows teams to better communicate and build relationships with others.

  • Diversity is also about introducing new approaches, ways of thinking, and perspectives on situations. A diverse sales organization enables us to incorporate outside thinking and new ways to address a situation. This opens up creative thinking and prevents “deal blindness”. Diverse thinking through diverse people allows this to happen.

  • Words are good — actions are what is ultimately necessary. It is not enough to simply acknowledge that diversity is needed or to merely talk about it, but to actively prioritize it and prioritize the inclusion that is necessary for diversity to be effective.
