  • Start with a shared success plan with outcomes that your customer cares about but be realistic with how much time you can spend with a customer

  • Introduce CS early with an eye toward the Internal Knowledge Transfer - try to convey the things that aren’t written down (nuances between relationships and capture attitude with stakeholders)

  • Avoid jump balls - make sure everyone knows who’s taking the lead at the handoff

  • Memorialize the moment - if you can be celebratory at the handoff, you can make things a little more human

  • Standardize the ordinary, but create the space for the exceptions
